Currently living in Montreal, Canada, Hayley Richman began her singing career by uploading covers of her favourite songs to YouTube. Starting with no expectations and quickly becoming known for her Radiohead covers, she now has nearly 100,000 subscribers and her videos have been seen by over 14 million people. Her social media presence has earned her record company interest, sync opportunities for TV/film and a place on cover compilations such as Reimagine Music's "Love Cats: A Tribute To The Cure" alongside other familiar names in Indie music.
Known for her moody, melancholic style and dark covers of classic 60's-90s songs, she has often been described as "sadcore". Her original music has also gained a cult following and been included in feature films, trailers & soundtracks. Although she is currently unsigned, Hayley's career has shown tremendous promise and attracted attention from industry faces and dedicated followers alike.
Hayley draws inspiration from literature, film and visual art in addition to other music. Always drawn to darker muses, she is heavily influenced by Clive Barker, Stephen King and Tim Burton. An illustrator as well, she finds most of her original music influenced by both real-life and daydreamed visuals.
She is currently writing and recording her first album to be released in 2020.
